  1. Thanks Eddie for sharing.

Siva was my schoolmate, batchmate & roommate at Bloem. He was very intelligent and studious & always adviced me: ” Dont runaround too much, Sit & study machchan”

His hard work & high intelligence made him a legendary physician & a great human being who was always kind to others with his trademark smiley face.

He always wanted to work for his people & country. When many of us went to work in other countries, he decided to stay back. Once when I visited him while he was working in Jaffna Hospital, he told me :- “You fellows left our people & ran away but I decided to stay here to help our people”

Many have written about him – all with praise. I congratulate the organisers of the memorial lecture for selecting Siva.

Sam/Eddie, It will be nice if you can get a transcript of the lecture & include in our 64 News?

  6. Siva is one of the best physician of our time. He decided to stay in Sri Lanka to serve the people. I last met him during 2018 when I visited Sri Lanka for RU. I was very keen to meet him as I did not see him since we graduated. Following my phone call he met me at the hotel I was staying and had a long conversation. He deserves to be selected for the memorial lecture.
